    Challenging but worth it.

This was a full Stack program that is taught over 6 months and in person. The curriculum is challenging - but doable. I come from an entertainment background and had absolutely no coding experience when I began the program, so if I can complete it anyone can. I have to say that our teacher, Hannah Patellis, is incredibly knowledgeable about programing, but also very easy to understand. She was very patient and never spoke over heads - Also Hannah and our TA's were very willing to give up t...

    Catapult Into Tech

I believe this course was great in the way that it catapulted me into the tech world! It is the perfect course that can take ANYBODY who is dedicated from zero to hero! The instructional staff was amazing and very helpful but your success does depend on how much work and effort you put into the course. This course absolutely lays the foundation for anybody becoming a developer and affords you the ability to continue learning and growing on your own after the course is over.

Thank you, Leaveil! We're happy our instructional staff was so helpful during your boot camp journey - we also think they're amazing! You are definitely right, any individual who is dedicated and willing to put in the work and effort can be successful, not only in this course but in the tech field. We are passionate about teaching students how to learn, a necessary skill needed in a developer's role, so it's great to hear the boot camp afforded you this ability. Congratulations on graduating and thank you for your review! We wish you all the best.

So you want to be a developer?

I took the inaugural full-time web development bootcamp. Buyer beware. This program is not for the faint at heart! It is at a breakneck pace and covers many different aspects of web development; it is a full-stack program, meaning you learn front-end (user facing) and back-end (server-side) technologies. If you are willing to truly focus and dedicate yourself monastically for 12 weeks to learning web development at the expense of family life, reading for pleasure, taking a nice walk in the...

Amazing, thank you for your review, Steven! This program is definitely immersive and fast-paced, covering a wide range of course material in 12 weeks. But like you suggested, if you are willing to focus and dedicate yourself to mastering the topics during this short time period, you will be successful at entering the web development field. We're glad our instructors, academic, and career services were so supportive. We have to agree, that you truly get out of the program what you put into it. Congratulations on graduating and we wish you all the best moving forward!

    Overall A Successful Experience

So, as I stated above, I had a very successful experience with Georgia Tech's program. I am a student that changed careers completely so my experience will differ from someone that is just looking to brush up. The instructor's support and the TA's support for my cohort was A+ 110%. But, don't let that fool you into thinking this is an "easy" course. The pace is pretty intense since it's an immersive course. It is technically a part-time course but I feel like I would have had a...

Thank you for your review, Valyn! We’re thrilled to hear that you have found employment with a new company through the skills that you acquired in this program. It makes us proud of our team to hear that your instructors and TAs provided you with the support you needed to learn these valuable new skills.

As you mention, this course does require students to commit time and effort to learning new concepts both in and outside of the classroom, and the more our students prepare for the course ahead of time, the less they will struggle to learn new material. Thank you for sharing your tips and advice with future students.

We’re so glad that you had such a positive experience with Georgia Tech Coding Boot Camp. Congratulations on completing this program and starting your new career in web development. We applaud all of the hard work you put into this program. We wish you nothing but the very best in your future endeavors.

    My Experience

I Personally like the codeing BootCamp.

But its very stressfull sometimes if you have a family and things go by preety fast before you can master it.  As a former Game developer, 6 years ago i practice codeing C# and soon after i learn what i wanted to learn i drop it. Returing to a codeing bootcamp make you realize how much little you know. Which is a great thing because everyday you are constantly learning new things and i love it.

Thank you, Darryl! We appreciate you taking the time to share your review. You are completely right that this is a boot camp and it is very fast-paced and intensive. Students have to dedicate a lot of time both in and outside of class in order to master the topics covered, and we offer free tutoring, office hours, and other channels of communication to make sure students get help whenever they need it. We love hearing that you enjoyed learning new things every day and were able to brush up on your development skills. You also gave some great advice for future students! We provide pre-work to help students get ahead before classes begin and it is important for students to not only complete it, but spend time studying on their own before the program starts. As you mentioned, focus and time management are also key. You have clearly put in the time and hard work that it takes to balance a busy life and this program, so congratulations! We wish you great success as you move forward in your career.

    Web Development/Fullstack Developer

Going through Georgia Tech Boot Camp has been one of the most empowering and liberating experiences of my life—academic, professional, or otherwise. My classmates, as diverse a group as any, are smart, capable, motivated, and most importantly generous—you’ll find no shortage of new friends eager to help you squash bugs when you (inevitably) run into them. As it is a part-time course, I still have the free time to continue my normal work routine and have plenty of free time to p...

The ux bootcamp was great! The instructor Holly and the TAs were so helpful and patient. I really enjoyed my experience. This course requires a lot of time outside of class time. So you must be fully dedicated. Some projects are solo, some are teams. So be comfortable working with others and collaborating.

I am currently enrolled in the boot camp for Oct - Feb, and the learning journey has been great so far. The program offers many assistance to where its needed and the programs used to learn the product management field is helpful.
