Amagi Academy
Amagi Academy offers immersive, live online, 12-week Software Development, DevOps, and Data Science bootcamps. Amagi Academy uses traditional class instruction, individual and group projects, classwork and homework with mentor feedback, and 24/7 Q&A. Amagi Academy bootcamps are designed for working professionals. Live instruction takes place in the evenings (EST) and on weekends.
The DevOps bootcamp curriculum covers JavaScript, Node.JS, CI/CD, automation, and Docker. DevOps students will also learn cloud management with DigitalOcean and AWS. Students learn the skills needed to be a DevOps Engineer.
The Software Development bootcamp curriculum covers full stack development where students will learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, ReactJS, and Golang. Software Development students also learn how to build and test modern microservers and APIs. Students learn the skills needed to be a Full-Stack, Front-End, or Back-End Developer.
The Data Science bootcamp curriculum covers Python, NumPi, SciPy, Pandas, and Dask. Data will be obtained by working with Excel, API’s, and building web scrapers. Data Science students will build visualizations with libraries, including Matplotlib, Altair, and Seaborn. Bootcamp students will build quantitative skills in calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistics. Data Science students learn supervised machine learning, including parametric/non-parametric algorithms, support vector machines, kernels, and regressions. The bootcamp teaches the best practices to explain how their models work to others. In the Data Science bootcamp, students are prepared for careers as Data Analysts or Data Scientists.
Amagi Academy bootcamp applicants are required to pass an interview with a mentor to assess their background, disposition, and motivation. Applicants are also required to have their own computer with stable internet connection, and to have made a prior attempt to learn programming. Along with the general prerequisites for all Amagi Academy bootcamps, Data Science bootcamp students are also required to have made a prior attempt at learning statistics.
Amagi Academy bootcamp students will receive assistance with career preparation, including resume improvement, portfolio building, meetup presentations, and networking.
Income Share Agreements (ISAs) are available for residents of the US who are US citizens, US permanent residents, or DACA recipients. All other students are welcome to enroll by paying tuition upfront.
