Moreover, the on-site experience of the course has been crucial for me. I could not imagine it in any other format. The quality of the transmission of the contents, as well as the coexistence with the teaching team and the rest of my classmates, both in my course and those of WebDev and Data Analysis, would not have been of such a high level and would not have exceeded my expectations if it had not been in a face-to-face format. I highly recommend this formula. It feels like a summer camp and you feel it when you leave, but in this case you don't just take friends for life, you change your professional life forever. Like I said, it was a good introduction for a newbie, however now I have to pay an additional cost to get an aPHR Certification, with the same curriculum. So, just be aware if you’re on a budget and would rather pay for Certification instead.

There are great tutors available, and it is a safe space. It is important not to feel intimidated to ask questions because of fear. Asking questions helped me succeed and learn from my mistakes. Reading comments in the channel for students makes you feel you are not alone if you do not understand a particular topic. The students are very nice and give great advice. I love I did not have to wait a long time for a response to any question I had. I wish I had been more outgoing and talked to other students in the “informal” channel, but no worries, I am pleased to know you will have access to the platform even when you have completed the course. There is a community for alumni to network as well. This is a great way to network and learn how to feel comfortable communicating online. I appreciate that this program offers a career preparation program for jobs. Also, there are externships and other practice opportunities. After completing this program and looking at where I started, I can conquer anything with determination and resilience. This program is worth it because it is affordable and includes many benefits for a boot camp. I have not seen a program like this. You will have access to all the features without paying for add-ons and you have live and AI sessions to assist you. So, future tech professionals invest in yourselves by calling and asking questions or applying.

On the 17th week I was accepted into an internship and it's because of this bootcamp. During the full-time bootcamp it is up to you and how hard you are willing to apply yourself during this time. If you need to recharge, recharge. However, if you have free time, commit it to learning new technologies or improving existing skills. As I write this, I am now familiarizing myself with an entirely new codebase and beginning work with 40 other developers. The curriculum keeps you moving and lays an important foundation for new developers. Also, I would recommend Veronica as an instructor. If you're willing to work hard and you aren't just trying to "get by" - this bootcamp will be great for you.

I was extremely worried starting the program because I had a previous bad experience with another SE Bootcamp called FlatIron because they didn't actually teach you any lessons in the bootcamp and only offered minimum support for learning the concepts, so I wasn't sure what to expect going into Code Platoon's program. However, I had absolutely no reason to worry because Code Platoon is far superior to the other bootcamp and the staff genuinely care about their students and will put the time in to make sure you understand the topics and concepts. The instructors presented the lectures in ways that made it easy to follow and ask questions and if you didn't understand they'd break the concept down a different way to help make it clear. They always encouraged questions and class participation and were always available to offer assistance to students if you are struggling. I felt as though they really cared about ensuring each one of us in our cohort was successful in the program. They also offer a robust curriculum that prepares you with the fundamentals as well as languages such as Django, PostgreSQL, Flask, React, etc. We also always had TAs available to help us during class hours and after hours to ensure we weren't getting stuck on problems or issues. During the program they also setup Beyond Tech Talks and brought in employers to prepare us for topics we needed to know going into a tech career. Finally, their Career Services and Job Assistance also goes above and beyond as they incorporate several topics like behavioral interviews, technical interviews, job search best practices, etc to make sure we are prepared for job searching as soon as we complete the program. We also got to talk to employers like Google and DFR to learn about interviewing process best practices and what to expect in your first role. During the program they also set you up with a mentor and a volunteer resume coach to offer you additional support and resources. Code Platoon truly goes above and beyond to make sure their students are setup for success. As I stated above, this bootcamp is top notch and by far the best bootcamp out there for active duty military members and their families, as well as veterans and their families. I'm so grateful I was given the opportunity to complete this bootcamp. They also offer a variety of ways to pay for the program so you have flexibility. They guide you on what’s coming up, and you get to build skills through hands on assignments.For anyone feeling stuck in their current career, I’d say think about where you want to be in 5 or 10 years.
