I honestly didn't know what to expect heading into my Software Engineering course bar from that I'm going to be doing some coding, which was something I was alread familiar with. But what I got was much more. I gained a greater understanding to coding. Specifically Python which I had zero experience with but the help of HyperionDev and mentors, I obtained the the skills to pretty much back myself to do almost anything and everything related to it. The software engineering bootcamp is good and the support I received from mentors or the support team in general was amazing.
Some things I noticed / areas of improvement:
• Content can be hard to understand, especially for beginners with no coding background. I had a small amount of coding knowledge and still struggled here and there.
• In certain tasks, explanations were not concise and ‘to the point’, sometimes I found that information was irrelevant, making the doc...The software engineering bootcamp is good and the support I received from mentors or the support team in general was amazing.

ZERO star experience
All good reviews are FAKE or paid. Do proper research before signing up to this scamy bootcamp. You will waste a lot of money like I did, which I am deeply regretting now. If you want to see real reviews then just search them on reddit and you will really get the gist of it.

God forbid anyone says anything bad about them or exposes the truth about them.. There is even talk of the CEO (who is way to involved), harassing female students and workers. This company is terrible, from top to bottom.
There is a massive lack of staff it seems so response rate is very slow and support seems non-existent when it is urgent. I have waited up to three weeks (from TEVIN specifically) to get responses from the student support department, to the point where I had to tag the staff on a Discord group chat to get their attention. The course content somehow seems incomplete as most tasks (especially the capstone projects) do not relate to what has been learned in the 'pdfs'. Also shocking that it is a supposed tech company but they don't even have a proper student dashboard where one can obtain the course material. They basically give you a Dropbox link where you can obtain the course content.
You can teach yourself more from the internet than what you will learn in their 'pdf' course work. They boast that you will be career ready after taking their bootcamps and almost promise that you will get a job after completing it but most of the student job success is because they hire past students to be teachers and mentors for the next year.Melanie of HyperionDev

After months of chasing them sending emails back and forth they offered me a small portion of my money back, even though I was entitled to a full refund. Not for beginners. Waste of money.
I was told by the admissions department that this course was suitable for complete beginners. It is not. The course content is written in an overly complicated way, expecting some previous knowledge and a lot of independent research. The examples used in the course material are so far removed from the compulsory tasks that they are unhelpful. At the end of every reading I feel lost. I have to read the compulsory task and spend hours researching the topic via google before I can even atte...I was told by the admissions department that this course was suitable for complete beginners. It is not. The course content is written in an overly complicated way, expecting some previous knowledge and a lot of independent research. The examples used in the course material are so far removed from the compulsory tasks that they are unhelpful. At the end of every reading I feel lost. I have to read the compulsory task and spend hours researching the topic via google before I can even attempt the task. Once your task is reviewed you have to resubmit if it's below 75% correct. You receive your feedback but there is no option to message back to the reviewer. Which means if what they are requesting doesn't make sense or feels unfair you are on your own. I opted for a part time course and made it clear to the admissions department that I would be studying alongside a full time job. I made it clear I would only be able to dedicate 10 hours a week to the course. The pace of the course matched with the amount of research needed outside of the material provided by the course means I would never be able to complete this course within the allotted time. The amount of research needed outside of the course material means the course is a waste of money. I could spend 10 hours a week completing youtube tutorials and reading online forums and learn more than this course. I don't know what I have paid for as I do not feel I will come out of this course in 6 months with any confidence or ability to get a job in this field.
They speak a lot about offering lots of support. My experience of the discord channel is the mentors on there don't understand how to teach a beginner. If they can't help you they refer you to book a longer call with a mentor. These calls are available mon-fri in normal working hours. However the availability is never next day which means you are on your own for at least a few days. Also, with managing studies alongside a full time job, it means most of the calls (when there are any available) are at times when I am at work.
This course has left me feeling stressed and depressed. And down a lot of money!Melanie of HyperionDev

worth every penny
I joined this bootcamp with no coding skills, now I am confident with my skills, and I believe I am ready to join the tech industry.
What you see is definitely what you get, and when I applied, I didn't believe I'd get to where I am today with my coding skills.
