Bootcamp students will learn to build, test, and deploy web applications using the MERN stack and APIs, and learn how to set up continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to deploy a React application. Students develop a GitHub portfolio of their work to present to potential employers.

No prerequisites are required to apply for the MIT xPRO Full Stack Development with MERN bootcamp, but a capacity for technical concepts is recommended.

This program includes video lectures and coding demos from MIT faculty, personalized feedback on assignments and projects, mentorship from experienced industry professionals, and career coaching during and after the program. Bootcamp students will also receive soft skill instruction, including personal brand building, understanding the roles and workflow of Agile development, and how to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

    Strongly NOT recommended

For those who may consider this program, I would strongly NOT recommend it. I started participating in this program since August-2021. I am on the 3rd and last semester currently, and will graduate in 2 months. So everything I say here is based on my observation as well as personal experience thus far.

The reason I decided to take MIT full-stack classes is that I deeply know for doing Full-Stack, I need to have some help to watch over my shoulder to see what I have been doing. I w...

    Hi Skye,
We’re sorry to hear that this program hasn’t met your expectations. Nearly all (90%) of our students tell us that their learning objectives were met or exceeded, and that is a statistic that we are proud of. However, success in this program does rely heavily on the learner’s ability to be self-directed, research on their own, and reach out when they need help. To provide that support, we require a 24-hour response time from learning facilitators, and currently all learning facilitators are meeting those expectations. We have validated they are responding to student questions effectively and within SLA. While success coaches are available for additional support, support is mainly focused on the student's academic goals within the constraints of the program, and coaches aren’t able to tailor the program’s fundamental nature to suit individual needs. We encourage you to regularly reach out to our team for support. You may also contact mit@emeritus.org to discuss how we can improve your experience and help ensure that you achieve your learning goals. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve the experience for all future learners in our program.
    Thank you,

    WASTE OF MONEY

This is a really good moneymaking machine. Using MIT’s name to get people to enroll. Then when you contact support and had to withdraw, they wont even review special circumstances and you will have to deal with a robot-like email replies from their main office in Singapore.

I was enrolled in Professional Cybersecurity Program and Now I am stuck in paying $3700 (i got partially reimbursed) for something I cant even use.

The assigments are too much and very redundant. Not mu...

    Hi Cate,
We’re sorry to hear that your learning experience didn’t meet your expectations. We understand that you tried to withdraw from the program and regret that your concerns were not appropriately addressed. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve the experience for all future learners in our program.

This program was built and vetted by MIT faculty and a team of instructional designers, just as all our programs undergo thorough review for content quality and rigor. Refunds are available beyond the first two weeks of the program, prorated up to 60% of the program’s completion. However, we’d still like to help you work toward your learning goals, so we encourage you to reach out to program contacts who are always ready to help, including our success coach, and instructors for content-related questions. You may also contact mit@emeritus.org to discuss how we can further improve your experience and help ensure you achieve your learning goals.

    Full Stack Development with MERN

DO NOT ENROLL IN THIS COURSE.   Not even close to worth the price tag.  There are so many great free options out there.  I wish I had taken more time to research but freeCodeCamp and Full Stack Open through the University of Helsinki are free and the content is much higher quality.  Much of the onus seems to be on the MIT professors teaching the course.  They just slapped this stuff together and their videos are unfocused and rambling.  There are helpful Emeritus staff and the office hou...

Professional Certificate in Coding: Full Stack Development with MERN

This program is highly professional and organized.  I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with the program so far.  I'm looking forward to my time left prior to graduation.  All of the staff and faculty are very nice and helpful.  If you're looking to get into Web Development, I would highly recommend this program!

    Good place to start

Coming from customer service and retail, I had my try at self learning from other free online materials. This bootcamp has been a good stepping stone into learning software development. Difficulty may depend on personal interests and learning style but overall not too difficult that you can't make it. Instructors are there to help and class size is great for networking. Overall, glad I chose this bootcamp over my other choices.

    MIT xPRO

I choose this bootcamp for the name recognition of MIT, the broad coverage of the curriculum content, and the reasonable price tag. I could hardly be happier. The content is current, organized effectively, and the lessons are structured in such a way that you you don’t spend the whole time doing a ‘code-along’, but instead understand the problems you are solving as new technologies are introduced.

Before this course, I tried to learn the cornerstone web technologies, HTML/CSS/JS ...

    Great program - highly recommend!

I'm currently enrolled in the Full Stack Web Development certificate program, almost halfway through.
I have a background in engineering and business, but had not coded for ~3 years before starting.
The program has impressed me thoroughly thus far. The curriculum is thorough and practical - I talk with current web developers and have found that what I'm learning is sometimes more advanced than what they frequently do.
I also appreciate how the course is structured, and that a...

Full Stack with METN Professional Certificate

I am currently enrolled in MIT x Pro Full Stack with MERN and am loving it! This is my first extensive course on coding and it is a challenging yet very well put together course with support and video learning! I think it is well worth the initial investment and can help you learn valuable skills to transfer to a future employer!

    Professional Certificate in Coding

This course is meant to provide enough learning experience to walk away as a full-stack developer. I am about 1/3 of the way through so far, and I will say I have learned a ton. I was a beginner at coding and took it upon myself to learn some of the basics beforehand. I would definitely recommend this if starting from scratch. They will give you lots of outside resources to reference and use throughout, USE THEM! You just can't get all the information you need just from the videos. Make ...

    Gautam is the man

I worked closely with coordinator Gautam from Great Learning and he has been a super star. Great character and great execution. I have worked with their rival company Emeritus also from India I think. Great Learning overall has a better feel. More warm, generally considerate and they hire nicer workers. That said Great Learning has better notes than Emeritus. Overall Great Learning puts in all the legwork for this prestigious American colleges and deserve more credit

    Tough But Worth It!

I recently completed the MIT Applied Data Science course; overall, it was an incredible experience! The classes were thorough, covering a wide range of relevant topics in data science. The instructors were knowledgeable and engaging, making complex concepts easier to understand. Although some of the material was challenging, it pushed me to grow and helped me expand my analytical skills significantly. The program administration and our program manager were outstanding—always su...
