Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. Springboard acts as a support system, coach, and cheerleader for working professionals who are ready to level-up or make a major career shift. Students have access to a unique community of industry mentors, thought leaders, and alumni, who are on hand to offer insights, networking opportunities, and support throughout the program and well past graduation. Every Springboard student is matched with a personal student advisor and industry mentor who guides them throughout the program through regular video calls.
To apply, applicants fill out an online form, take an aptitude test, then talk with a school representative about their background and motivations. For the data science career track a background in statistics and/or programming is required. For the UX career track, students should have academic or professional background in user design or development-oriented fields.
Before graduation, Springboard’s career services team supports students in their job search, helping prepare them for interviews and networking, and facilitates their transition into the tech industry. Springboard's programs are backed with a job guarantee.

All graduates benefit from an extensive support network encompassing career services, 1:1 career coaching, networking tips, resume assistance, interview prep, and salary negotiation. I want to start off by saying that Springboard helped me make what was a dream into a reality. I want to start off by saying that Springboard helped me make what was a dream into a reality. - They offer an "internship" as your last project, where you can gain real-world experience with an actual company they pair you up with.
Of course, nothing is perfect. There are things I wish Springboard could have offered. For example, I wished I could work with people other than designers, like engineers. Another thing I wanted Springboard to provide in their program was more visual design training/ lessons. I felt like I needed some prior visual design skills to begin this course.
Overall, Springboard is a great place to kick-start your UX/UI design career change. Effective and Informative
I had a really good experience with Springboard. I spent about 9 months in the UX/UI Design program and learned an array of topics from foundations to working on a capstone project for an overseas client. The staff was super friendly and cooperative. My mentor was probably the best part of the bootcamp. I really connected with her and learned a lot from her processes. You determine the value
The course structure is good and gives a holistic view of what is included in UX/UI work, for those willing to dedicate the time there is good value here. The most valuable aspects, in my opinion, depends heavily upon the mentor and career coaches you are assigned.
You can do all of the work and learn many of the steps of the UX/UI design process, but in the end you (like myself) are probably considering enrollment to land an actual paying role in the field. You will most likely come away with a usable portfolio (depending upon the time YOU put in), however the projects are relatively easy to identify as academic projects. Not to short-change the value of the curriculum, it is quite valuable and methodic (in a good way).
For this reason, the insights, feedback and guidance you receive from your mentor and career coach can be invaluable and really help before and during the job search. I was incredibly fortunate to have an amazing mentor who was both brutally honest and encouraging. This allowed me to make great progress in my knowledge of UX/UI design, as well as how to identify and frame my past experience as an asset in future roles. Without this and his early encouragement for me to reach-out and create relationships with those in roles I aspired to fill, I think it would have taken me much longer to break into the Product Deign world.
Additionally, my career coach was an amazing source of support, feedback and encouragement, while I was navigating this challenging carer pivot.
Unfortunately, speaking to fellow alumni this was not the experience of many of my piers.
In the end, I think an individual can benefit greatly from Springboard's UX-UI design program if they dedicate the appropriate time and maintain a growth mindset. Data Science curriculum review
I did this course and had amazing mentors. They encouraged me so much. It felt like I was made for data science while doing the course and projects. The curriculum is amazing too. Really great bootcamp for those breaking into Tech

Excellent experience and real-life projects
Springboard's Data Analytics career track was a great experience for me. I only had small knowledge about working with data and knew some stuff about MS excel. Having a mentor to meet with several times a month was very helpful. My mentor would help me when I was stuck on some assignment or project, but would also show me real-life examples of what he does as a Data Analyst, which was great for me to understand the day a day and the industry even more.
The slack community also helps a lot when you want to solve an issue and don't know how to proceed. Most of the time students help each other, but there are also dedicated community managers who are very attentive.

Intense but rewarding
After finishing my Masters in Aerospace Engineering degree from the University of Toronto, I wanted to transition to data engineering knowing that data engineering demand will continue to grow. I searched online for the proper data engineering BootCamp but many of the BootCamp was too expensive for my budget. A Program With Excellent Mentors
My mentor was awesome! Our weekly calls inevitably were confidence boosters for me. I never felt like I was doing well, but my mentor would review my work and let me know otherwise. It was great to have someone to turn to with any questions I had. They have been working in the field for over a decade so I knew I was getting expert help too.
For how much less their program cost, I was pleasantly surprised to find the coursework actually did prepare me to pass the CompTIA Security+ exam...My mentor was awesome!
