SVC Seattle offers live, online User Experience and Content Design certificate bootcamps that take 50 weeks to complete. Classes are delivered via Zoom and take place on nights and weekends.
SVC Seattle User Experience bootcamp students will learn information architecture, writing and sketching for UX, interaction design, visual design, website and app accessibility, and usability testing. SVC Seattle Content Design bootcamp students will learn information architecture, content strategy fundamentals, ethical and inclusive writing, website and app accessibility, interaction design, usability testing, and writing for voice interfaces.
Both SVC Seattle bootcamps will culminate with a 10-week capstone project and portfolio lab.
SVC Seattle User Experience and Content Design bootcamp students are required to have taken Fundamentals of UX and Figma Fundamentals courses, or must be able to demonstrate their proficiency in these areas. Bootcamp candidates are also required to attend an online SVC Seattle info session before applying.
All SVC Seattle bootcamp students will receive career preparation assistance including interview preparation, whiteboarding, and portfolio guidance. Bootcamp students will also learn soft skills for designers, including negotiation, time management, critique reception and delivery, collaboration, and presentations. Finally, all SVC Seattle bootcamp students may opt into a personal mentor program which includes six one-on-one meetings designed to provide help with coursework, portfolio building, networking, job hunting, and side project critique.
Upon bootcamp completion, students will receive physical and digital SVC Seattle certificates.
