Techmongers offers a 10-week full-time web development and 12- week part-time Cybersecurity academy in Amsterdam and online. Their program prepares students for full stack developer roles where professionals teach what they know and love through this unique course. In collaboration with industry professionals and employers, the Techmongers curriculum matches market demand. By starting with foundational knowledge of web development, students will then be equipped with cutting-edge technology skills by participating in code reviews, quality assessments, team collaboration, and more. All course materials and instruction are provided in English to best prepare students to work in an international coding environment.
Applicants do not need previous technical experience to join Techmongers, but they must participate in the Admissions Training Camp, a one-week bootcamp at the start of the Academy. After this week, they will be evaluated on their motivation, progress and technical skills. The evaluation will determine whether they continue in the No Cure - No Pay or Pay Upfront model. The Techmongers team believes that a strong motivation and dedication are the best drivers for success.
The Techmongers team works to ensure graduates are hired as junior web developers within 5 months of graduating. During the job application phase, graduates must do everything within reason to secure gainful employment in their field of study. Typically, employers pay the bulk of the tuition cost.
Techmongers was formerly known as Codaisseur.
I entered Codaisseur Academy with no knowledge in programming or anything related. The amount of stuff you learn in just two months is amazing and the chances of landing into a tech job afterwards are great. Be prepared for a lot of hard work, though.

The teachers are very experienced, patient and willing to assist you with any problem you have - not only related to coding but also related to the stress and insecurities of a career change. The class is small enough for you to know everyone, so in the end the students also help each other a lot. The course itself seems to be improving at every batch (I was part of batch 5).
It's been now almost one year since I finished the course and I am currently working as a full stack developer (I got a job around 3 months after finishing the course). I got hired to work with technologies that I have never seen before, but Codaisseur Academy did a great job in teaching me how to learn new stuff too!
Codaisseur’s no-nonsense approach focuses your attention on the essential skills and best practices that make you a productive developer with tons of practical experience.

Pros:
After exactly six month since setting foot in the Codaisseur boot camp I landed a job as a front end developer. Compared to other juniors I stack up quite nicely, because I’m well versed in the basics, slightly more experienced in algorithmic thinking and usually more well rounded in the team work aspect of software development. No prior development experience, all thanks to this course (and lots and lots of hard work, so be prepared for those all-nighters)
Cons:
This is only IF you pass the assessments and graduate (we had about 60% pass rate): You do not get any leads or job opportunities from the school itself, you’re pretty much on your own looking for a job after graduation. They do help setting up your post academy portfolio, LinkedIn and advise you on presentation and professionalism. They send you weekly update forms to keep track of your application process and if you don’t manage to send out two applications per week, you risk owing the remainder of the school fee personally. To be fair, my current employer covers my fee and finding a job is not hard at the moment :)
I've been in the batch #2 and the whole program was still developing at that point - this meant that the curriculum was still going through some iterations and also the teacher pool was different from today. Since I kept frequenting the office/classroom for some time after I graduated, I know first-hand that a lot has changed since and that it is all going the right direction, though.

Subject-wise, you probably wanna do some research as to what technology stack you wanna learn, we were focusing mainly on Ruby on Rails and, to my knowledge, only a small minority of my classmates ended up actually working with it. On the other hand, most of us did end up landing a job and with the foundations obtained during the course were able to learn the new technology.
As for the outcome, you get what you invest - in the matter of time and effort - and Codaisseur is well capable of providing an environment that will help you succeed; don't expect them to do the work for you, though - and this applies also to the job-hunting process. Finishing the course successfully is only one part of the whole process and, while Codaisseur will try and help you with finding the job, in my case this process took almost 6 months and from big part was fuelled by reaching out to prospective employers on my own. I also found it very difficult to convince companies to pay some extra to re-pay my course so ended up paying the course back myself (I still think it's well worth it given what I get in return - an amazing job that I enjoy). During this whole process guys at Coddaiseur did not give up on me, though, and I'm thankful for that.
Codaisseur is great place to kickstart your career as a Developer. Thanks to the many topics they offer during the course you get the opportunity to learn fast and discover what you can do best. Not in the last place Codaisseur is a hub for connections and inspiration.
Like most of the other reviews, I took the course and loved it's intense pace and friendly environment. Then I graduated and got a job relatively quickly (in my case I wasn't even looking for one). So it is great for that.

Unlike (most of) the other reviews, I was one of the first courses (3rd I believe) and I stuck around because I was curious of how the academy grew and the new graduates (also because I kept learning even after I graduated). As someone who looked into the future of the Academy and experienced it firsthand, I saw how they cared and improved very rapidly from course to course, even day to day. Nowadays, they learn a lot more newer and updated things and the style has grown even more efficient and friendly than it was before.
I see a bright future in this academy and I reccomend you be part of what learning should be like. You might even see me around at advanced class.
When you start programming for the first time, things are really hard. There's so much information out there, and to not get overwhelmed is really hard.
At Codaisseurs development bootcamp, you get an package that's build for people who are starting. You get all the right information you need at that point in the bootcamp, which give you a clear path and the confidence to create something awesome.

The fact that you're with a group of other people who are working their asses off doing the same thing, is really cool. It's also really helpfull that post-bootcamp, that community of teachers and students is still there to help you out.
I loved my instructors, they know what you're going through and will help you when you get stuck. Not by giving you the answer, but by pushing you in the right direction.
I would recommend everyone with interest in programming to join Codaisseurs bootcamp. You will not be disappointed.
Codaisseur is your best bet if you're ever considering a career switch into web development. Working on group projects teaches is one of the things you won't be able to learn by yourself, and might be the most valuable skill taught at Codaisseur.

Teachers are experienced, both in programming and teaching people how to code. The course covers basic principles as well as more advanced design patterns. Most of all, learning how to learn programming is a very important aspect of the course.
Many students go on to find jobs working in completely different stacks from what's been taught at Codaisseur, and have learned how to pick these stacks up and become productive developers very fast.
Most of all, the support given by Codaisseur throughout and after the course has been invaluable to kickstarting my career as a web developer. I wouldn't have been able to make it without them!
A good combination of motivation, time and ability to learn quickly is required. If you have these things, I can definitely recommend Codaisseur to anyone wanting to get into web development.
Programming is something I've had an interest in for a while, but I found that online learning didn't really get me to where I needed to be (employed!). When I saw the Codaisseur program online, I signed up immediately for the March cohort (after digging around online for any blogs about people's experiences on the course – and, yes, I kept my own blog too at leefreeman.xyz if you want to read in more detail!)

Other reviews give details of the curriculum (Ruby/Rails, Javascript/React, essentially), so I won't go into great detail but, suffice to say, there's some cutting edge stuff there, the teachers were excellent and the reader (online course materials) is a really valuable resource to refer back to.
After completing the course, I found it quite easy to set up some interviews and accepted a position that I'll be starting next week (i.e. 5/6 weeks after the end of the course) with a company that saw me presenting at the end-of-course demo night.
If you're considering signing up, remember that this is an intensive course. It will take up all your time for 2 months and you will be challenged (so start doing some preparatory work now!).
I would not hesitate to recommend Codaisseur to someone who is committed to becoming a web developer.
In February 2016, I took part in the very first 8-week development class. It was the best thing that could've happened to me. I wanted to switch my carreer and become a professional web developer, but I struggled achieving that on my own (besides work and family).
The program delivered exactly what I was looking for: learning to code, use development-workflow tools and current best-practices used at companies. I had a blast!

And the big bonus: I landed a great job as a web developer within a month after graduation.
Thanks to my employer I also joined their 2-year Junior Acceleration Program. These have helped me to grasp other languages, tools and concepts (Elasticsearch, API design, Elixir, advanced sql, React Native) quicker and therefore helped me in my day-to-day work.
With my background I was already able to find a job in development, but instead I chose to learn more about Ruby on Rails at Codaisseur. In 8 weeks I learned more than two years of college. Everyone attending to the traineeship was there to learn more about programming and everyone motivated each other to make the best projects.
