The more you put into this program, the more you will get out of it. Support is available for questions of all types - from fundamentals to more advanced CS topics. There is a diverse student body that is eager to learn and support one another, and peer-based project reviews help students both learn to take constructive criticism and to digest and comment intelligently on someone else's code. The connections with numerous companies (in the Bay Area and across the globe) help students to open doors and find meaningful employment, and as the program progresses there is a good amount of interview prep which is very practical. Thank you ALL!
As a student for this class I was propelled into the workforce right at the end of the class. Many of the other graduates had the same experience.
This is a fast paced Web Developer based into to everything and into to everything professional Boot Camp. Essentially as a student you need to know these things:
- How to be prepared? Don't come into this class not knowing how to use a file system, this is a class meant for people who are going to get hired by a professional company after 12 weeks. This class is meant for people who have a good understanding of computers and already have an understanding of programming theory and understand how to read syntax. File system structure is not something you teach in this class. Don't be the student the slows everyone else down then drops out after 1-2 weeks.
- If you're a potential student of this class DON'T AVOID IT BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE IS A BEGINNER CLASS.
- This class is focused on making YOU INTO A PROFESSIONAL AFTER 12 WEEKS.
- Use logic from 3 to come to a reasonable conclusion to what the class is about.
They also prepare you for job interviews and have other professionals in the business speak to the class, in my class:
- Job Coach Professional Sherri Thomas
- Technical Recruiter at Nextiva Alex Francis
- Melt Media Tech Director Anthony Garone
- Melt Media Hiring Manager Devon Tackett
Sherri is a professional job coach and guided the class on the process of resumes, interviews and job seeking.
Alex works for Nextiva and spoke to us about professional interviews, what not to do and what to do. Alex also provides help with resumes.
Anthony works for Melt Media and spoke to the class about expectations.
Devon works for Melt Media and gave the graduates a preliminary professional technical interview with feedback.
Some things to expect:
- The class has you build a project, your own website.
- There are some costs involved which the College cant pay for if you want to be able to own the site
- The website will be about you as a programmer.
- If you cant afford it Jeff can let you make one on the MCOR server

The primary attraction was that it was free, but even with that advantage, the program did not justify the time commitment. Spending 9 hours a week on Pivot, in addition to working full-time, felt like a waste and took away from time I could have spent with my children or improving my life in other ways.Pivot actively promoted the bootcamp to me, but the quality of its curriculum and course content did not compare favorably to school, college, or even trade school. The program fell short compared to other bootcamps and educational programs I’ve tried, such as Codecademy, FreeCodeCamp, TripleTen, CodeWithMosh, and AppBrewery. Even the free resources offered by these programs, such as simple YouTube videos, proved more valuable than what Pivot provided.Pivot provided no ongoing support or check-ins throughout the program. Career materials were minimal and consisted of generic advice easily found online, such as tips for tech resumes. The program lacked proper resources and a centralized database for learning materials, with the learning experience varying significantly depending on the instructor.Seven months after graduation, my cohort's employment rate was 0%. When people raised questions about these issues on Facebook and LinkedIn, Pivot often ignored or deleted the comments. Unlike companies like TripleTen, Pivot doesn’t showcase their alumni and students, which is telling. I encourage you to search for success stories, but they may be difficult to find.Working for Pivot is not any better, if not significantly worse. They are a tech school that does not leverage technology to enhance the program. These points are worth verifying and fact-checking. - 5Reviews1CourseAptly named after the first programmer, Ada Lovelace, the Ada Developers Academy is a women-only coding bootcamp in downtown Seattle. You will receive a top notch education in programming, computer science fundamentals, and preparation for whiteboard style interviewing. You will not be charged tuition and you will receive a stipend at the end of each month of your internship that is the equivalent of 35 hours a week at $15 an hour. Taxes will not be taken out of your check as your role is that of a contractor. Most of your class will have job offers before the cohort ends, but not all, often for reasons not under ADA's ( or the Adies' ) control. You will graduate ready to enter the job market as a junior developer. You will think that you should feel more skilled and experienced once you reach that point but you won't ( what you hope to feel like usually takes 5 years of experience and work to achieve ). You will have a strong network of graduates to lean on and the support of ADA during future job searches and dealing with the challenges that the tech industry brings.
Teaching will usually be spot on, but there will be missteps and errors along the way. You will be doing more independent study than you anticipate. Your instructors ( 2 per 24 students, 1 floating instructor, 1 Jumpstart instructor, a dedicated Computer Science Fundamentals instructor, and an outstanding student counselor ) are supportive, committed to the mission of ADA, and eager for you to succeed, but they are human. Things more very fast and you have to advocate for yourself and your classmates. Sometimes tutoring is available, sometimes not. If you start to fall behind you need to recognize it quickly and get assistance immediately. You may have to go outside of ADA to do that.
You will receive education and training about social justice, including the concerns and challenges of women of color and non-binary individuals. You will be personally be challenged. You will learn things you didn't know about yourself, and didn't necessarily want to know. You will learn that there is difference between ADA and the Adies alumnix. It was the alumnix who made the commitment to "no woman left behind". Students have been expelled from ADA. Not all of us got in on our first try. Some were admitted on their 5th try. There is some Redshirting. You will form some of the strongest friendships of your life, but you won't like everyone. Lateral aggression is minimal, bullying almost non-existent. ADA was worth it, the Adies especially so. But it is hard. The process hurts. It hurts alot. But it was worth it. Eyes open, keep your expectations in check, and it will be amazing. You will be amazing. Apply.

I enrolled in the Edureka Post Graduate Certificate Program in DevOps in collaboration with Purdue University in March of this year and successfully completed it in November. I must say, this is truly one of the best courses available for anyone who wants to learn DevOps with hands-on AWS experience.
The curriculum is incredibly well-structured and covers critical tools and concepts like:
• Docker containers
• Linux fundamentals and practical understanding
• Kubernetes with hands-on projects
• AWS Cloud through industrial-grade DevOps projects
The instructors sponsored by Purdue University were excellent, with deep industry experience. They teach from the basics to advanced levels, making it easy for learners from both engineering and science backgrounds to grasp the concepts.
One of the standout aspects of this program is its practical focus. The hands-on projects provided valuable real-world experience that prepares learners to excel in IT roles immediately after completing the course.
Additionally, Edureka’s support team deserves a special mention. Their 24/7 support ensured all queries, including assignments and certification-related questions, were promptly resolved. Their dedication to helping learners succeed is commendable.

Full Review:
There are a couple programs out there that might help cover tuition if you qualify and the school offers reasonable financing options. I had spoken to one of their recruiters before signing up and was able to work out options best suited to my financial situation with their senior leadership. They have some information about their financing options on their website, but if the cost of tuition is the only hurdle you see then be open with them and talk it out. They absolutely want to help people who honestly wish to help themselves.
Skillspire is a small institution focused on getting people into the tech industry. Their size allows them to help you in the right capacity needed for your situation. They have more freedom to accommodate their students on a personal basis.
Are you a nervous test taker or stress over due dates? NO WORRIES HERE! You won't take a single exam and due dates are very flexible. The course was designed to be no stress/low pressure for the students. The grading structure is very relaxed as well. Turn in your assignment and get the points.
Concerned you won't be able to find the time to participate?
I live on the East Coast and they're based in Seattle, WA. That's a 3 hour time difference. Wednesday classes were late for my time zone but if I couldn't make it to class the instructor sent a link to the recording of the class. They're understanding and lenient on attendance.
You will not pass/fail based on attendance or grades. You are responsible for learning the material just like any other learning institution but they will pull all the stops to make sure you can learn what they're teaching. You get out of this course exactly what you put in. When I went through the course we didn't have our first official homework assignment until just before half way through the 20 weeks. Personally I recommend using an additional resource to practice what you learn between classes. I was brand new to all the material and I felt I needed it and the extra practice helped.
Worried you're computer skills are outdated?
For me, I was a fairly new to programming and didn't have a language I already knew. I had dabbled in C++ in the early 2000's and I liked it. I can't say I put much effort in staying current in tech since that time. When I was looking into this course I wasn't even familiar with Window OS's post Windows XP. I used computers at work that ran Windows 7 - 10 but I only used them for very basic tasks. Upon signing up for the course I had to get myself a proper laptop but I was definitely overdue. ; )
My point is, I barely had a hobby remotely related to tech before I took this course and I didn't struggle due to that. I had played around with some Linux distros on an ARM device (Raspberry Pi 3B+) I purchased on a whim a few years ago but it wasn't even operational when I committed myself to taking the course. I was absolutely a novice.
I just recently finished the course and I'm excited to see where I end up from here.Masterschool
