Finally, I decided to face my fears and joined this classed hosted by BrainStation. After a few weeks, I have to say my perspective changed completely. Spending time with 2 professionals in the area and learning how to analyze data made me realize this can actually be fun! You can learn a lot about your processes, customers, and opportunities by simply going over your own information. Now I don't feel worry anymore to play with data in Excel, mySQL, Tableau or other similar tools. Thanks BrainStation for enlightening my career with a brand new and useful skill!

Kim Wood is an extremely knowledgeable career coach and she helped me a ton when it came to my interview process. The instructors were extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well. A few things to consider if you're thinking about enrolling at Fullstack... Start studying for your Security+ ASAP and be prepared to study outside of class hours. My two goals when starting this course were to have Sec+ completed and a job lined up for when I graduated. Both of those goals have been accomplished, I actually got my job offer 3 days before graduation! I know most everyone who reads these reviews wants to know whether or not they will get a job and I'm confident to say that if I can do it, anyone can do it. The only downside I can think of with this bootcamp would be that my cohort was over 70 students which made it a bit tough to get 1 on 1 time with the instructors and to have your personal questions answered. However, there are mentors in the cohorts in which they provide outside class office hours that you can attend to ask any questions if you can spare any time outside the course itself. Lastly, start focusing on LinkedIn and building connections. This is how I found out, applied and got my job so I cannot stress enough how important LinkedIn is. What I liked was the way this course was structured, ensuring all the key topics were taught to us related to data science along with some advanced topics like machine learning and gen-ai.
The instructors were really cheerful and experienced and supported all of us through our tough times. Besides the syllabus, they also provided a lot of external resources to make sure we reached to the depths of the topic. This course has definitely helped me equip strong data science skills.
The career services team supported the students with CV writing and job-interview preparation. Overall the entire staff at WBS was supportive throughout these 4 months of time period.

One of my favorite things that they offer was unlimited one on ones! This really helped me when I was falling behind on some exercise and projects! They also offer Career Services where you can do Mock interviews, get help fixing your resume, and basically molding you to be job ready! Other than that, this is one of the most affordable bootcamps that I've seen while I was researching. They offer many payment plans that fits your budget. And I took the live classes, which was only 9 weeks, compared to other bootcamps that usually take 3 to 6 months. Overall experience 10/10! and I'll be graduating tomorrow!!

Overall, the bootcamp is great - you learn a lot in a short amount of time. I would recommend a bootcamp if you are in a hurry to change careers. That being said, LHL is not responsible for the overarching job market / economic climate. When I graduated every tech giant was doing mass layoffs. Bear that in mind before making a decision. Nothing is guaranteed. After a total of 8 months (which includes 3months of bootcamp) i finally landed a junior dev role. And I was lucky. That being said, the support from career services was good. They help where they can. If I were to use an analogy: they are a passenger in the car you are driving. Is it worth the money? I'm not sure. I think that they do a lot of behind-the-scenes work that indirectly benefited me.
Overall, if you are passionate about tech and want to start your career, give it a go. Life is too short.
For curriculum I would prefer not spending a week on Ruby. I think the curriculum would be better served with an extra week with React or learning Typescript. Pivoting out of Javascript for a week didn't feel worth it to me. On top of that none of the TAs who picked up my request-tickets knew the language. Last week I launched my app, built from the ground up in Java and Spring, with the things I learned from Coding Nomads. Feels great!
Coding Nomads has been great. I liked it so much that I started their Javascript course recently. Here's what the founder said about my capstone project: "Your capstone is among the best we've ever seen here at CodingNomads and we've worked with hundreds of students. So, job well done!"
My intention is not to leave pro audio, but I do see software development as my next career act. Ideally, I'd like to keep building Tracebook and SubAligner, while doing freelance development work for manufacturers, AV companies, and the live event industry.
