I recently completed the "Cybersecurity Cohort" provided by the Institute of Data, and I must say, it has been a transformative journey for me. As someone who is transitioning into cybersecurity, this bootcamp offered a perfect blend of in-depth knowledge and practical experience.

Led by the incredible Chaitanya Rao, with support from assistant trainers Isabelle and Sumaya, this intensive course was made remarkably manageable through their exceptional training.The bootcamp excelled in providing a comprehensive education, focusing not only on the technical skills required for a successful career in data science but also on essential soft skills. This well-rounded approach ensured that we were prepared for the multifaceted demands of the industry.Even though I had some background in data, I found the course immensely beneficial. For beginners, the bootcamp is equally valuable, breaking down complex concepts into understandable segments. Throughout the course, we had the opportunity to work on some exciting projects with expert guidance, which was instrumental in cementing our understanding of the material.One of the standout aspects was the individual feedback from the trainers.  I recently completed the Software Engineering course offered by IOD, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The course content was comprehensive, covering all the essential aspects of software engineering, and it was delivered in a very engaging manner.One of the highlights of the course was the exceptional quality of instruction. My tutor was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we understood the material. The assistant tutors were equally fantastic, providing additional support and insights that were invaluable.Additionally, I was able to make some lasting connections with my fellow students. The collaborative environment fostered by the course was truly remarkable, and I feel confident that these connections will be beneficial throughout my career.While the course is a bit pricey, the investment is absolutely worth it. For residents, there is a flexible two-year payment plan available, which makes it more accessible. I would say the course materials were excellent. They were designed for simple progress in hands-on practice. I am already in Software Industry and my goal was to get familiar with new technologies and feel easy with web development in React and get comfortable with frontend as well as backend.

I would say I have achieved my goal 200%. I am in almost finishing my own website for selling my art products. Thanks to IOD + AUT for giving us this course and also providing industry expert instructors. Thanks a lot :)

I recently completed a part-time, six-month remote software engineering bootcamp, and it was a transformative experience. The curriculum was comprehensive, covering both front-end and back-end development. I delved into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front end, and React for building dynamic user interfaces. On the back end, I learned SQL for database management and MongoDB for handling NoSQL databases.
The structure of the course was well-balanced, allowing me to manage my time effectively while juggling other commitments. I have learned a lot of useful skills and am currently working on continuously improving the projects I completed during the course. My instructor was very helpful, knowledgeable, and always willing to offer advice and recommend additional resources.For the part-time course, self-study was necessary to complete the labs and projects, which I anticipated. The job assistance provided is valuable, including help with LinkedIn profiles, CVs, cover letters, interview preparation, and job recommendation emails. You can also book a meeting to discuss job search strategies or enhance your online technical presence, though you will need to take the initiative.Overall, I enjoyed the course a lot and learned a great deal.

The IOD Bootcamp is a steep learning curve for learning Python in a short period of time. The skills gained will make you job ready in as little as 3 months. The course is taught by professionals, who will help you with getting through your assignments. A capstone project at the end of the course will showcase all the skills that you have learnt, which will be a great selling point when applying for data related jobs. Overall a very good course to gain the skills required, in a short period of time, with flexible study options.   

I recently completed the Part-Time Data Science and AI Course. It was intensive and informative, with great resources provided. The course was well-structured with clear learning objectives from the beginning. While it offered a solid foundation, it wasn't an in-depth exploration of data science or AI. However, it did provide the tools and knowledge to apply newly acquired skills to real-life projects. The teaching staff were very helpful, supportive, and knowledgeable in both theory and practice. The pace was quite fast, which is typical for a bootcamp.

I decided to take on the SE course with hopes of changing careers. It was focused around web development technologies and gave me a solid foundation . The beauty of software is that so many skills are transferrable. Learning the basic Web Dev coding languages are great to start with and made it easier when I started trying out other coding languages. Doing it part-time remotely gave me so much flexibility and made it all possible since I am based in the waikato. The lecturers are extremely helpful and have a wealth of knowledge. Keep in mind that this is a short course with a lot of content so it is fast paced and you need to keep on top of it. Bearing in mind , this is completely achievable coming from someone who has a full time 50hr per week job as well as a young daughter. The course has given me the skills needed to starting the job hunt and I am gaining traction now.
