I have been exposed to some beginner programming before and took a class in college but only through Aditi’s instruction, I was finally able to clearly understand some concepts clearly and finally there was a break through! I really like the good explanations and even complete beginners should be able to really grab these concepts.
For anyone who can not make the live lecture because of time zone or other obligation, they have the recorded sessions. In my opinion it's important to review every lecture even if you think you know a concept already. Maybe you know how to use it, but not exactly how it works. Then your trainer can explain it much better for it to permanently click in your head if you have doubts!
Thanks Code Gym for the opportunity. I am really confident that I will finally get fluent with programming in Java and I'm learning in a way that I can help train someone else in the future.

Besides the phenomenal instructors and their aide, the fellow students you meet always make learning fun especially since the whole class all are reaching the same goals. You meet a class of experienced and inexperienced students willing to learn from each other which showcase during the final group project. FSA doesn't teach you specific technical skills, but also soft skills by preparing you post-graduation. FSA provides its students with a career coach who guides each student with tips and lectures on navigating a world post-graduate. I recommend FSA to students who are eager to learn the fundamental of programming, willing to commit their time and taking each day 1% to grow. I want to give a shout-out to Alex and Elliot (my instructors), Elle (instructor aide), and Laura(career coach), thank you for believing in us.

Coding boot camps are great in taking you from zero knowledge to being able to builds things in record time, but it is hard to learn to think like a developer in such short period. This course really helped me with that.
The curriculum is very vast, and it becomes difficult very fast. I struggled a lot but almost immediately I realized that I was getting better. I don't know if I will ever apply all the concepts that I learned, but it definitely leveled up my coding quality and problem solving skills.
The teacher has a lot of experience and he is really good at explaining complex concepts with simple examples. He also has a lot of patience and always goes the extra mile to make sure that you understand.
The career advice part is also really good, you get CV, LinkedIn and portfolio reviews, and mocking interviews with senior developers.

They really want you to get a job in whichever industry you choose! Another benefit of the smaller size of this school is they do well if you do well.
Full Review:
There are a couple programs out there that might help cover tuition if you qualify and the school offers reasonable financing options. I had spoken to one of their recruiters before signing up and was able to work out options best suited to my financial situation with their senior leadership. They have some information about their financing options on their website, but if the cost of tuition is the only hurdle you see then be open with them and talk it out. They absolutely want to help people who honestly wish to help themselves.
Skillspire is a small institution focused on getting people into the tech industry. Their size allows them to help you in the right capacity needed for your situation. They have more freedom to accommodate their students on a personal basis.
Are you a nervous test taker or stress over due dates? NO WORRIES HERE! You won't take a single exam and due dates are very flexible. The course was designed to be no stress/low pressure for the students. The grading structure is very relaxed as well. Turn in your assignment and get the points.
Concerned you won't be able to find the time to participate?
I live on the East Coast and they're based in Seattle, WA. That's a 3 hour time difference. Wednesday classes were late for my time zone but if I couldn't make it to class the instructor sent a link to the recording of the class. They're understanding and lenient on attendance.
You will not pass/fail based on attendance or grades. You are responsible for learning the material just like any other learning institution but they will pull all the stops to make sure you can learn what they're teaching. You get out of this course exactly what you put in. When I went through the course we didn't have our first official homework assignment until just before half way through the 20 weeks. Personally I recommend using an additional resource to practice what you learn between classes. I was brand new to all the material and I felt I needed it and the extra practice helped.
Worried you're computer skills are outdated?
For me, I was a fairly new to programming and didn't have a language I already knew. I had dabbled in C++ in the early 2000's and I liked it. I can't say I put much effort in staying current in tech since that time. When I was looking into this course I wasn't even familiar with Window OS's post Windows XP. I used computers at work that ran Windows 7 - 10 but I only used them for very basic tasks. Upon signing up for the course I had to get myself a proper laptop but I was definitely overdue. ; )
My point is, I barely had a hobby remotely related to tech before I took this course and I didn't struggle due to that. I had played around with some Linux distros on an ARM device (Raspberry Pi 3B+) I purchased on a whim a few years ago but it wasn't even operational when I committed myself to taking the course. I was absolutely a novice.

The coursework was clearly laid out and the class sessions were a perfect complement to the pre-work. The Instructor and Instructional Associate provided real world examples and applied industry experience to better prepare the students for the Cybersecurity field. On top of covering a large range of topics (Programming, Linux, Windows, Red Team, Blue Team etc.), the student success and career success teams were absolutely phenomenal in ensuring student success as well connecting graduates to relevant work experience and networking. If the students are willing to follow the guidance of the Fullstack team and put in the effort, there is no doubt that they will come out of the bootcamp with the capability to start their career in the Cybersecurity field. He was just amazing because of small class size, he would spend his time for every student in order for us to understand the logic behind and every single details.
I could personally write so much good things about the program, long story short, it is just a brilliant program that everyone should have a chance to be part of this great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

This bootcamp covered everything needed to succeed in an entry level web developer interview. The course definitely moves fast so you have to be on top of everything and you have to spend time outside of the bootcamp to study and complete work. There is plenty of support if you take advantage of the office hours! You also have to make sure you spend time outside of the bootcamp practicing technical interview questions (codewars/leetcode) to ensure you are ready for interviews. The curriculum is catered towards landing a job in the industry. Everything that is taught is used and applicable towards an iOS developer. The first half of the curriculum is teaching iOS basics/ datastructures and algorithms from the ground up. No prior iOS experience is needed. After about 6 weeks, students will be placed in projects to use and improve the skills they have learned. These projects are not throwaway projects, but can be used in resumes and discussed in job interviews.
The instructor (Sophie) is amazing. Sophie teaches students expecting them to know very little. Because of this, she explains everything in simple terms and does not assume everyone knows all the jargon. This is helpful because it reinforces the basics so students have a strong foundation. Sophie is also very knowledgable and resourceful -- If a student asks a question she does not know, she is willing to go out of her way to research it and explain it to the student in a way he/she can understand.
Sophie is passionate towards teaching and is genuinely interested in all her students. She allocates time to have a one on one converstaion weekly to check in how things are going and what she can do to improve the student's learning.
Once Buildschool has taught the student's everything they need to know for the job, the instructor will provide resume help, interview questions, and even mock interviews. The only gripe -- if really -- is that students are not provided direct referrals. As a bootcamp graduate, it may be harder to find a job without a CS degree. However, I was able to get a job because of the interview help and the skillset that was provided throughout this course.
Overall, Buildschool is an amazing bootcamp that teaches industry standard skills with an amazing instructor who I still connect with.
