The instructors and teaching assistants were outstanding, and always available for feedback, and I especially appreciated their use of rhetorical questioning to break down difficult concepts. My cohort was highly engaged—most kept their cameras on during live sessions, which helped with focus and collaboration. As a neurodivergent, I never felt judged; the instructors were accommodating and sensitive to my needs, making it a truly inclusive space. This BootCamp didn’t just improve my technical skills—it helped me gain confidence and strategies to manage imposter syndrome. I’ve been working hard to become an engineer, and CodeOp catapulted my progress, accelerating my learning in ways I didn’t expect. I now feel even more confident in my abilities, and within six months of graduation, I secured a paid internship.
The curriculum provided a solid foundation, but I often wished for more time to dive into computer science fundamentals and analyze code line by line during demos. This wasn’t a flaw in the curriculum itself, but rather a challenge of the BootCamp format. That said, CodeOp did a great job collecting feedback throughout the program and adjusting accordingly. I also found the collaborative problem-solving sessions and flash lectures to be valuable additions, though a session on Big O notation would have been a great technical interview prep topic. While I gained a lot of confidence in my coding skills, I wish there had been more structured opportunities to review my code, as this would have helped with technical interviews.
Career services were encouraging and supportive, offering coaching sessions, resume reviews, and mock interviews. However, a guaranteed job or internship placement would take the program to the next level. Since CodeOp is based in Barcelona, many alumni job postings were Europe-based, which could be a challenge for U.S.-based students—but I saw this as a long-term advantage, as I’d love to work abroad again. I also appreciated that they connected me with U.S.-based alumni, who have continued to offer mentorship and support. Overall, CodeOp is a mission-driven BootCamp that truly cares about its students. If you’re looking for an inclusive, affordable, and high-quality tech BootCamp, CodeOp is an excellent choice!Hackmyhead

A friend's recommendation led me to HackMyHead, where the instructional approach was dynamic and interactive, fostering a profound understanding of complex concepts across CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Prisma, and Git.
The curriculum was meticulously structured, encompassing a broad spectrum of technologies essential for modern web development. From mastering the intricacies of CSS for styling web pages to harnessing the power of JavaScript and Node.js for backend development, every aspect was covered comprehensively. The introduction to React provided a deeper understanding of front-end development, while Prisma offered insights into database management and integration.
Throughout the program, collaborative interactions in breakout rooms and regular code reviews facilitated practical application and refinement of skills across all platforms. The camaraderie among classmates, coupled with the unwavering support and expertise of our instructor Max, fostered an environment conducive to growth and exploration. We had Mock technical interviews, which offered invaluable preparation for real-world scenarios, refining communication and problem-solving skills under pressure. Additionally, Git proficiency was emphasized, enabling effective version control and collaboration within development teams.HackMyHead has equipped me with a robust skill set encompassing CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Prisma, and Git, empowering me to navigate the competitive landscape of professional software development with confidence and proficiency.A special thanks to all the students. The support and community is amazing which really helped me stay motivated. They made sure to review the previous day's work all the time and introduced the students to stand-ups early in the program.
I came into TechLaunch with prior programming knowledge and skills but even with those skills I found that I lacked the skill to think critically, that is what I believe was a major achievement for me attending TechLaunch. One of a web developer's super power is to have the ability to learn because technology is evry changing. TechLaunch develops this skill by putting its students through rigorous but achieveable tests and challenges.
I am glad I got to attend TechLaunch and graduate. If you get the chance and get accepted into the program, don't pass it up.

This section is just so that you can gauge if what I wrote below applies to your situation. I learned programming mostly on my own and only became a Codecool student because I found I needed help in getting a job. I also followed the courses of another company (Scoala Informala de IT <- would not recommend), but this was after I had a decent understanding of the Java programming language. I started learning Java at about 32 years old, and I joined Codecool when I was 36. I finished their courses in 8 months and got hired about 2 months after I finished.
The good:
- You will be surrounded by a community of people willing to help you learn how to code. I'm not talking here about the mentors necessarily (though they will definitely help you... if you set your shame aside and ACTUALLY GO ASK THEM), but about the other students.
- The curriculum is decent and, based on what I heard, it somehow got better AND shorter.
- The job guarantee, although not a guarantee per se (more about that in the next section), is real. If your attitude is not that of a jackass, you will get hired through them. This was the main selling point for me, because even though you can indeed learn to program from Udemi, that doesn't mean anyone will actually hire you.
- You will also learn how to hold presentations for your projects, a skill that, from recent experience, seems to be just as important as writing code.
The bad:
- The curriculum is a roller coaster ride to go through for somebody with no experience in programming. As people have probably already told you if you're planning on becoming a student, the course is a full time job, and you will most likely not be able to also work for the majority of the courses duration.
- Some of the mentors attitude towards mastery based learning can degrade to "figure it out yourself" without them leading you to the right way of doing things. This statement needs more clarification, as for somebody who hasn't programmed before it probably means that the mentor should be there to help with their the majority of their problems. This is not the case though because learning how to research and troubleshoot are also things that students need to learn. I'm talking about stamping out bad solutions that would make your potential employer shake their head in disagreement if they read the code.
- The HR/marketing team will sugarcoat the contract terms heavily. Now I don't blame them, in fact I'd do the same if I were them, however I still want to point it out. If you read the contract though you will know exactly what you're getting into. The terms are not for the faint of heart. If you won't read them, you'll grieve about how horrible the service is. Either way, it's on you. For example you're not actually guaranteed a job, you're guaranteed 6 interviews, but if needed the number of interviews you're allowed to take can be increased (the way I read this paragraph from the contract is that if you're a decent human being they will help you get hired. If not, they'll provide the 6 interviews and then "bye bye". And also it helps protect against abusers who will wait for a year and not have to pay for the course. Bottom line, read the contract).EducaciónIT

The hierarchy is incredible flat and you can talk to Armagan Amcalar and Di Long Lu just like you would with your friends. The difference is that they are seasoned professionals who also run their own tech companies. I mean Armagan is outstanding by himself but you will also have the chance to talk through your graduation project with Alessandro Sabatelli (each of you, half an hour, and that’s a lot), who runs a tech-company in New York and San Francisco (he might mention to you, in a side note, that his agency was the creator of the design for the YouTube App on the Apple iPad). Together with your cohort, you will have a session with him, after everybody has found their idea for their graduation project and built their wireframe. It’s super useful, even if you can listen to the thoughts and advice of Alessandro to all your classmates projects. You will learn a lot and gain valuable insights into the tech world with De Long Lu (our main teacher), who also shares interesting stories. The graduation project includes pair programming sessions. There is hardly a better way to start a coder's career than with Coyotiv. Additionally, the course being conducted in English will open up new opportunities for working in multinational teams, where English is often the primary language. It is easy to know that after the hard work that you have done you can be the professional and an influence to others. I am so glad that I found this program and made the sacrifice to work hard to learn a new skill.

Every instructor I had was great and they seemed genuinely invested in me actually learning the material, not just passing an assignment. This took almost every issue I have had with school and threw it out the window but was able to keep me engaged and accountable anyway. The career section at the end was invaluable and I still can't believe how straightforward it seemed to jump from a mediocre job with little future to the job I've always wanted and plenty of room to grow. I can't recommend this program enough, it genuinely opened more doors for me than I could have thought. Some of the instructors still reach out to see how I'm doing and to make sure I was able to reach all of my goals. Overall incredible experience, just make sure you are able to hold yourself accountable and put the hours in! ID Bootcamps

Over the 3 months of course, I not only learned a lot about coding, going from JavaScript and Node.js to AWS and Docker. But I also grew so much in terms of soft skills like confident public speech and communication.
The environment at arol.dev is amazing! The instructors know so much and they genuinely care about helping you succeed. Plus, the focus on mental health made it a super supportive environment where everyone felt great.

Piyush was an absolute wealth of knowledge. Every lecture with him was filled with detailed, insightful information and he was always happy to answer questions. Brittany was a fantastic mentor and an expert in JavaScript. She was kind and patient and always there to help whenever I needed it.
Jon was an incredible instructor who took the time to make sure I fully understood HTML and CSS. He was extremely knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile to help me grasp the material. Finally, I have to give a big shoutout to Jon-Mikel, who was an excellent instructor for our class on JavaScript, NodeJS, ExpressJS, APIs and MongoDB. He was able to break down complex concepts in a way that was easy to understand and always made sure we had the support we needed to succeed.
Overall, I highly recommend the Austin Community College Software Development Bootcamp. The instructors are top-notch and the course material is comprehensive and well-organized. I feel confident in my new skills and am excited to apply them in my career. Thank you to the whole team at ACC for a fantastic learning experience! Code Immersives

Not only do they take everybody in mind ( from people with no experience to people with a lot of experience) but they also are just really there to provide you with industry knowledge to get you out in the job market. As an international student I was hesitant at first thinking about the whole paper work I would have to fill in but Tom my DSO and Anthony helped me every step of the way not only did they guide me through the process but once the course started were they available pretty much to answer any of my concerns. Then talking about the teachers they all come from various backgrounds in the industry and have so much knowledge about the industry standards that it is often so interesting to hear them explain concepts and see how they approach problems (shout out to my teachers Rashaan and Kelvin they really thought me so much). This doesn't take away from the fact that you will always have to put in the work to learn the concepts you see in class and to review and I guess 'do your homework'. If you are hesitant about joining a course or bootcamp then don't cause like I said code Immersives provides so much more then that. I am finishing up my last term right now and am excited to get started in the job market. If you have any questions about the course feel free to reach out to me.
