Nucamp
Nucamp is a coding bootcamp that offers part-time, online programs, including Back End, SQL, DevOps with Python (16 weeks); Front End Web & Mobile Development (17 weeks); and Full Stack Web & Mobile Development (22 weeks). Nucamp also offers a 4-week introduction bootcamp that covers the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Nucamp is on a mission to make quality education accessible and affordable to everyone. The online bootcamps include both self-paced and actively mentored study, and there are no more than 15 students per class with a dedicated instructor for each cohort.
Admission is open to all 18-years and older (some states require HS graduation or GED). To enroll in a bootcamp, complete Nucamp's online registration form.
Students of the longer bootcamps are prepared for entry-level, Junior web developer jobs. Nucamp offers career services and 1:1 career coaching to bootcamp students. Nucamp also offers exclusive access to a nationwide job board tailored to Nucamp graduates.

Great IN-PERSON Fundamentals Class

I am considering a career change and Nucamp offered the best way to do that. It was only non-full-time program that met in person, and one of the few that were in my price range. I had tried an online only course on Udemy and failed to stick with it. That said, they are worth considering because they do a great job focusing on the educational aspect of the course. I certainly benefited from structure of this bootcamp, which caters toward working adults.
I found the “flipped classroom” approach to be very useful. By having the instructional content online, and the activities in person, I was able to utilize my peers and instructors to ask questions and collaborate like you would in dev job. The in-person assignments do a good, not great, job of utilizing all the skills you learn during the week. To get the most out of the class, I would recommend some time to reflect on what you learned last week, and to explore a couple of concepts you are currently learning in more depth. Or look at things that are related to what you are learning that week, to help flesh things out. You certainly have the time to do so. There is not too much content each day to explore things a little more and find something to spark your curiosity and motivate you further.
During the course, I felt confident in my abilities to learn new skills, and confident in Nucamp’s ability to teach new and more challenging concepts. Thus, I have decided to continue with their full stack course. I just started the Bootstrap version and the high quality of instruction continues, and am exicted for what's next in my CS journey thanks to Nucamp.

Great way to stay committed!
With the countless MOOCs available these days, I have yet to commit to one and complete it.
I found the learning experience offered by nucamp very effective in helping me reach my goals.
It provided structure and collaboration that are otherwise missing when following online material on your own.

In-person was better than my past experiences with online instructors
I especially like that we met in person every week for workshops and got the opportunity to collaborate with other students.

Great in-person workshops
Before joining nucamp I took part in another course that implemented a mentor system for each project.

Great so far
I liked the pricing of this bootcamp, the payment plan and the flexibility in the amount of different starting dates/sessions provided.
It makes it easier to balance with a full time job.
I like that there aren't textbooks to purchase.

Nucamp Web Dev Fundamentals
Nucamp is a good choice for those who are familiar with the world of tech but want to get their hands dirty for the first time. I had no experience coding before taking this program and now feel confident with html / css / and bootstrap. I recommend this bootcamp if you are looking at being a developer with no prior experience. The course material was intuitive and straightforward and helped us learn while creating, rather than by regurgitation, which I prefer. The UI of the student site is very pleasant and is clear what each of my weekly course goals are, as well as the objectives of each task and what the end-products should be. Excellent source of learning. Courses are structured to allow time to complete the courses as well as challenging enough to keep you engaged. The courses are well thought out and provide real world examples of how to use the code. The course projects allow you to build your repository for areas that interest you and solidify your programming skills in the community.
