Originally a marketer, I wanted to change my career and learn new skills in the wake of the Covid19.
Being a total computer-illiterate, I joined the Fullstack Intensive course after a positive impression by Kyle and Judy.
Even though the courses were not cheap, it is still much affordable than most tech bootcamps in the US or Europe.
As I am now landing an internship in an AI company, I can say the curriculum was well-done and useful. It provides good fundamentals in Front and Back-end as well as the skills in demand on the job market.
All the workers (from the founders to teachers and interns) are nice, friendly and helpful. I wish to thank them for that.
Big thumbs up for the Job Support also. The school provides a custom-made assistance for the students, sharing with them internships/job opportunities and counselling regarding their visa status.
On the other hand, it is called intensive for a reason: do not even think of joining if you are not committed.
Keep in mind learning new skills and finding a job is a very taxing process. Especially if you have zero scientific/technical background.
As far as I am concerned, it was a very stressful experience.
If that's the case, be kind to yourself. Work on your portfolio, stick around and look for internships.
To conclude, Wcoding will give you the tools, the guideline and the proper environment to start a career in the Tech Industry.
Nonetheless, you will need a lot of time and even more practice to land the job of your dreams at Google.
It is hard, but it is doable.
Now go coding.

- Great team: teachers and developers will always make time to listen to you and help you work on your projects.- Our main teacher Marie was professional and encouraging with a non non-sense attitude.
- You learn by doing.- Sets you on track for the job market.- Able to network with other developers.
- The school never gives up on you as long as you don't give up on yourself.
Suggestions:
-How about a slightly longer learning period ?
-Create programs based on each student's level (beginner, faux-beginner, experienced and so on...)
-Hire more teachers
-More counselling about personal development for each student.

The tutors took their time to break down complex concepts like as descriptive and inferential statistics. You'll also get a completion certificate at the end which is a major plus when job hunting.

I started LC101 in October 2018 and was placed in an apprenticeship as a full stack developer on the last day of September, 2019. After the 6 month apprenticeshI started LC101 in October 2018 and was placed in an apprenticeship as a full stack developer on the last day of September, 2019. After the 6 month apprenticeship I was hired as a full stack developer.
LC101 met 3 hours, 2 days per week for 6 months but required 15 hours or more work outside of class to keep up with the workload. After LC101 I attended Liftoff, a 2 month LaunchCode program to get you ready for interviews, help with building a portfolio and a resume. After Liftoff, I was accepted into the apprenticeship program. LaunchCode got me 2 interviews and on the second, I was hired as a LaunchCode contractor. At the end of 6 months, I was hired as a software developer.
I think that the main takeaway is that this program works but you have to be ready to put in the work if you want results.

It is easy to know that after the hard work that you have done you can be the professional and an influence to others. I am so glad that I found this program and made the sacrifice to work hard to learn a new skill.
The hard skills that I have in data analytics were fined tuned as I moved through the Academy assignments. I have admit that I hit many roadblocks in studying but the mentor resources that are available gave me the support and confidence I needed to reassure me that I could do it. I am so appreciative of the work that the instructors, my peers and the mentors provided and I hope to be an influence and shoulder to lean on for any future student of Data Science that may need it.

Every instructor I had was great and they seemed genuinely invested in me actually learning the material, not just passing an assignment. This took almost every issue I have had with school and threw it out the window but was able to keep me engaged and accountable anyway. The career section at the end was invaluable and I still can't believe how straightforward it seemed to jump from a mediocre job with little future to the job I've always wanted and plenty of room to grow. I can't recommend this program enough, it genuinely opened more doors for me than I could have thought. Some of the instructors still reach out to see how I'm doing and to make sure I was able to reach all of my goals.
