Le Wagon is a global tech training provider that offers full-time, in-person and online bootcamps in Web Development, Data Science, and Data Analytics. Beginners are welcome at Le Wagon. Applicants of the Web Development bootcamp do not need any previous technical experience, but should be motivated, curious, and social. Applicants to the Data Science bootcamp should have basic knowledge of programming and mathematics.
Students at Le Wagon have access to comprehensive career services, such as 1:1 coaching, tech talks, and assistance with job materials and Github. As a person with a background in digital project management, but without any previous coding experience, this 9-week course brought me to my limits more than once. Yes, it is energetically and emotionally very challenging. But... the support, both from Le Wagon teachers and later the experience of working together in teams on your own project was just outstanding.
It took me about 2-3 weeks to get used to the high pace + that constant feeling of being overwhelmed with all the new...As a person with a background in digital project management, but without any previous coding experience, this 9-week course brought me to my limits more than once. Yes, it is energetically and emotionally very challenging. But... the support, both from Le Wagon teachers and later the experience of working together in teams on your own project was just outstanding.
It took me about 2-3 weeks to get used to the high pace + that constant feeling of being overwhelmed with all the new information every day. There was no real time to revisit topics. "Trust us, we know what we're doing. If you're overwhelmed, look back one day and realize what you've learned since." - This was probably the best advice which I want to pass on.
But why 5 stars? - Because every aspect of the organization, the curriculum, the teacher encouragement and support up to the the feeling of constantly growing in my technical and creative skills was simply an experience unlike anything else. This is education at its best! I was challenged, encouraged, challenged, encouraged - I had a strong feeling the Le Wagon staff are on my side and really want me to succeed, despite self-doubts I had from time to time. Looking back at these 9 weeks, I feel very grateful. Not only have I learned a ton of Web Development skills to start my career as Junior Web Developer. Amazing time at Le Wagon!
I had an amazing time at Le Wagon. The course material was very interesting and engaging. I always enjoyed coming in every day and working with my buddy to learn something new and to apply the new concept in my coding for the day. I particularly enjoyed project weeks, working together in a team to build create an app and take it to production. Whenever in doubt, just do it!
My advice is to do it if you want to get into code. The program is really well-structured and the only thing I would add was more time in JavaScript. The bootcamp is fast-paced and intense. Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed, but it is normal, so ask questions to your colleagues and teachers whenever you feel stuck. All the teachers, staff and colleagues were super friendly and helpful. Studying online may actually be cheaper, but I think in the end, I wouldn't have learned not even hal...My advice is to do it if you want to get into code.
